The “Halloween Screamer” was the seventh and final race of the season for the ABC Car Crushing Mountain Madness Enduro Series Saturday at Mountain Speedway.  Double points were on the line for the four cylinder and 6/8 cylinder drivers in the 150-lap events that paid $1500 to win.  Joe “Millionaire” Jentile claimed the big car checkers and the series championship and Sam Ryan notched the four-cylinder victory with Dave Bentley, Jr. grabbing the division crown.  Jeff Gregor won the trophy truck enduro and Nick Ross won the $500 to win strictly stock dash for cash to become the mini series champion.

Denise Siegel led the four cylinder enduro field to the drop of the green flag and led the first two circuits before dropping out of the race with mechanical issues.  Mark Foreman took the lead and led over Sam Ryan, Tony Arcaro, Joe Marko and Charles Barbeisch, Jr.

With six laps complete, Ryan made the pass for the lead on Foreman and began to put drivers laps down.

Robert Fink, who sat second in the points standings before the race, brought out the first red flag on lap ten after he was driven into the front stretch fence.  Fink was not injured and was forced to watch his championship hopes diminish.

Ryan set a blistering pace early on and put Foreman, who was running second, a lap down on lap fifty.  Untouchable since taking the lead, Ryan drove off to victory over Dave Bentley, Jr, Jim White, Robin Schewire and Foreman.

With his runner-up effort, Bentley secured the division championship.

After starting from the pole position, Dominic Ranieri led the opening laps of the 150-lap 6/8-cylinder enduro.  Needing a good finish to secure the championship, thirteenth place starter, Joe Jentile, overtook the leader on lap eleven.

With twenty-five laps complete, Jentile led over Ranieri, Robin Schewire, TJ Kapish and Jeff Walls.

Walls came into the event as the second place driver in the point standings, but his day ended early after losing a wheel in turn four.

With only fifty laps remaining, Jentile continued out front with Ranieri in second.  Jimmy White, Jr. worked to third, followed by Bobby Coco and Kevin Nowak.

In championship form, Jentile, of Bedminster, PA, led the rest of the distance and was the only driver to finish on the lead lap.  Ranieri finished as the runner-up, followed by Coco and Nowak and Bob Wink.  White crossed the stripe in the third position, but was disqualified in post race tech.

Nick Herzberg paced eight other trucks to the drop of the green flag in the 27-lap trophy truck enduro.  Greg Harris took the early lead before Woot Lawrence overtook him.

Jeff Gregor started dead last, worked through traffic and caught Lawrence.  He made the pass for the lead on the eighth circuit and never lifted as he drove off to victory.  Lawrence settled for second, followed by Kevin Nowak, Harris and Steve Elliston.

The final 25-lap feature of the “Strictly Stock” three-race mini series took place.  Ricky Ross, Jr. had dominated the first two events so far this season, but was forced to settle for second behind his brother, Nick.  Nick Shaw finished third, followed by Wayne Lowe and Jimmy White.

The top five drivers in the strictly stock point standings ran a 10-lap dash for cash.  The winner of the event pocketed $500 and also received the title as strictly stock champion.

The “Mountaintop Boss” Nick Ross edged his brother Ricky to the checkered flag in the dash.  Shaw ended up with a third place effort, followed by White and Lowe.
