Mountain Speedway set to kick off
with “Pole Day”
Mountain Speedway is set to kick off the season starting Sunday,
April 6th with its annual “Pole Day”. The time trial
styled qualifying event for all of Mountain’s regular divisions,
which includes the modifieds, late models, street stocks,
thrillers and 4 cyl. FWD classes will set the
top 15 starters for each opening day feature event on April 13th.
Each driver present will receive a total of two green flag timed
laps and the fastest time will be used to determine the
competitor’s starting spot for opening day feature line-ups.
Any drivers that are not present, or qualify out of the top 15
on time will have to run a consi event, held on opening day.
Any
driver that attempts to qualify will receive 25 points and the
pole winner in each division will receive 50 championship
points.
Pit
gates open at 11 AM. Grandstands open at noon and general
grandstand admission is free for all ages. Qualifying will
begin at 2 PM.
