Pole Day and Enduros Ahead for Sundance

Following two weekends of test and tunes sessions, the racers at
Sundance Vacations Speedway look forward to Pole Day weekend, which
is slated for Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
Also on the card for the afternoon on both days is the Mountain
Madness Enduro Series, which for the third consecutive year is
sponsored by ABC Auto Parts and Car Crushing of Hunlock Creek, PA.
On Saturday the Sport Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4 Cyl. FWDs and INEX
Legends will each run two timed laps and the best lap will be taken
for the driver’s starting position for the opening day feature
events at the speedway. Following qualifying, the four cylinder
enduro cars will take to the track for 125-laps of non-stop action.
Sunday will include qualifying for the Tour Type Modifieds, Late
Models, Factory Stocks and TQ Midgets. Like Saturday’s qualifying,
each division will run two timed laps and the best time will be used
to set the field for each driver in the opening day main events.
Following qualifying, the six and eight cylinder enduro cars will
take to the track for 125-laps in the Mountain Madness Enduro
Series.
Points will be awarded for Pole Day and the pole position winner in
each division will be awarded 50 points towards the championship.
Each driver who attempts to qualify through Pole Day will receive 25
points
The pits will open at 10:30 am on both days and the grandstands will
open at 12:00 noon. Practice is slated for 12:30 pm, with time
trials starting at 2:00 pm. The Mountain Madness Enduro Series
events will follow qualifying.
