Shangri-La II to Share Qualifiers

Amy Stilson and Shangri-La II Motor Speedway is
pleased to announce that it has come to an agreement with Joe
Callavini and Sundance Vacations Speedway in St. Johns,
Pennsylvania to share qualifying races for blockbuster
year-ending events at both speedways.
The Labor Day on Fire event that is scheduled for September 4th through September 6th at Shangri-La II Motor Speedway will see the winners of the feature events for the Mighty Modifieds, ASA Late Models and Sportsman Modifieds become guaranteed starters for The 10th Annual King of the Mountain at the at the 1/3 mile oval known as Sundance Vacations Speedway. The King of the Mountain weekend will be headlined by the 150 lap, $5,000 to win event for the Mighty Modifieds on Sunday, October 11th. On Saturday evening (October 10th), the race program will showcase the Sportsman Modifieds in a 100-lap feature event, along with the Late Models, who will be in action in an extended lap feature as well.
Sundance Vacations Speedway will hold a Sport Modified event on September 19th and a Mighty Modified and Late Model show on September 27th that will see the feature winner in each of the three divisions receive guaranteed starting status for the events that are part of The Inaugural Fall Brawl, which will be held at the 1/2 mile "Concrete Castle" known as Shangri-La II Motor Speedway. The Fall Brawl will be headlined by an extra distance race on Saturday, October 3rd for the Sportsman Modifieds and an extra distance race on Sunday, October 4th for the Mighty Modifieds.
"We are very excited to be able to work with Sundance Vacations Speedway on this guaranteed starters package." said track manager Amy Stilson. "This will give the drivers competing in the Labor Day on Fire events an extra bonus to go after and should make the races more exciting than already anticipated."
Race Teams looking to run both events should have it a little easier when determining their schedules to close out the 2009 racing season. These will surely be events you don't want to miss so make sure you Mark Your Calanders.
