2007 4 Cylinder Thriller Rules

(All rules are applied to year make and model unless otherwise specified).
All Cars must comply with these rules. It is your responsibility to comply with these rules. If you have any questions, contact speedway officials.

ELIGIBLE MODELS AND BODIES
Any foreign or domestic RWD or FWD passenger car with a wheelbase of not more than 105 inches. (No T-tops, sunroofs, convertibles, or 2 seater cars).
Bodies must be strictly stock with no gutting of interior sheet metal except for drivers’ door for door bar installation.
Doors must be welded shut. Hoods and trunks must be secured with easy open fasteners.
Full floor, trunk floor, firewalls and rear wheel wells must be stock.
All glass must be removed except for the front windshield or can be replaced with Lexan or wire screen.
Stock bumpers or stock rubber covers only. No sharp edges.
No added weights or materials to be considered a form of added weight will be allowed.

ROLLBARS AND SIDE BARS
A roll bar and drivers’ door bar are minimum requirements subject to safety inspection. Minimum 4 point cage is mandatory.
Roll cages can extend out beyond the drivers compartment around the fuel cell for protection and forward of the front firewall. A radiator hoop may be utilized in front of the cage with upright supports.
Rub rails allowed between the wheelbase only. 1 ½” Max round tube or 3 X ¼” max. flat steel welded to body. No lower than center hubs and no higher than tire. Must be tight to body with no sharp edges. Subject to inspection.

SUSPENSION
Suspension parts/materials and locations must remain absolutely stock for that year make and model of car being used-except where otherwise stated.
Heavy duty stock mount aftermarket shocks allowed.
Springs must mount in factory mounts with no spacers.

TIRES AND WHEELS
All cars must use the track tire specified for the division. Track tires will be Kumho Power Star 758. 13” tires must be TR13 175/70, 14” tires must be TR14 185/65, and 15” tires must be TR15 185/65. Must be purchased through Lehigh Tire for $39.00/each. $5.00 from every tire purchased will be added to the 4 Cylinder point fund. Lehigh Tire's address is 301 West Broad Street Hazelton, Pa. 18201. They can be contacted by calling (570) 455-5854. NO MISMATCHING ALLOWED! (Must be all 13”, 14” or 15”)
No shaving of tires.
Steel wheels only 7”wide max. All same size with factory offsets.

ENGINE
The engine size and specifications must be stock for that year, make, and model frame in its’ original mounts.
No aftermarket parts or part considered high performance will be allowed.
No machining, grinding, porting, gasket matching, etc. of any kind.
No Turbo or Supercharged.
Engine will have no more than 175 PSI compression.
Engine and components must look and appear stock in all aspects.

CARBURETOR/FUEL INJECTION
Stock unaltered single inlet OEM carb for year, make and model.
Fuel injection allowed, must be original year, make and model.
No spacers or adaptor plates.

FUEL SYSTEM
fuel cells are mandatory if factory gas tank is mounted behind rear housing.
Cars will have 16-gallon max. cell.
Cell mounted in top of trunk floor as far forward as possible centered between frame rails.
Fuel line must be steel and have shut off valve clearly marked “FUEL ON/OFF” in RED.
Fuel cells on trunks must be bolted and secured on bed floor with 4 one inch steel straps. (2 front to rear, 2 right to left) Must weld 1/8” metal plates under side of floor or utilize large washers to prevent bolts from pulling through bed floor. Subject to inspection.

DRIVE TRAIN
Stock automatic or standard transmission.
Stock converter or stock clutch assemblies only.
Stock magnetic steel flywheels and flex plates only. 1” hole mandatory in bell housing where flywheel is accessible.
All drive train parts year, make and model.

EXHAUST SYSTEM
Stock exhaust manifolds only for year, make and model.
Exhaust must exit behind driver.
Stock type muffler only.
Single pipe only.

BATTERY
Battery MAY be located in the drivers’ compartment and must be enclosed in a spill-proof container securely fastened to the floor behind driver. All batteries must have a spill or splash cover. A battery shut off switch is mandatory (IF THE BATTERY IS MOVED) and must be in plain view, painted fluorescent orange or yellow and marked “ON/OFF”.

TRANSPONDER LOCATION
Transponder location will be determined by a tech inspector.

SPECIAL NOTES
Aluminum racing seats are mandatory.
4 point racing belts are required and must be in good shape (no date required)
